Let’s face it, millions of us just don’t find running to be that great. We’ve been told over and over again how great cardio is for burning fat, but the monotony and exertion that running requires can be overwhelming at times. Luckily for us less-than-enthused-uninvested-semi-joggers, Sarah Fit has some great advice for making running suck less.
Playlists are of the utmost importance to your perfect run. How else are you going to keep yourself motivated? You don’t need to be bombarded by new music at all times, but mixing some new jams in with the classics will add some pep to your step. Spotify has some awesome workout mixes that can be listened to from your smartphone. It’s a great way to introduce yourself to some new artists and genres.
Changing up your pace is also important, as Sarah explains, because it adds some variety into your daily run. It’s not fun to sprint the whole way, especially if you’re training for a half-marathon or marathon. Vary your pace.
Our favorite point is to make sure that you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing. Nothing can ruin a good run faster than shorts riding up your rear. Sarah points out that she’s recommended Adidas running shorts before, and we also love how Adidas adds key pockets and sweat technology to create the perfect run. You can get their women’s Aktiv shorts at Amazon or the Adidas website.
Orange is my favorite color, so I had to snatch these up:
What did you think of Sarah’s advice? Is their anything you’d add? Chime in in the comments!
